Thieves busy in North Delta
Thieves were busy in North Delta over the Christmas holidays.
Police dealt with nine burglaries, two auto thefts and three thefts from vehicles between Dec. 23 and Dec. 27.
They're investigating break-ins in the 8800-block of 117th Street, 7100-block of Honeyman Street, the 9400-block of 117A Avenue, 7200-block of Brown Street, 7200-block of Scott Road, 6900-block of Nicholson Road, 7000-block of Scott Road, 8600-block of Scott Road and 11800-block of 90th Avenue.
Delta Police are also investigating two auto thefts from the 7400-block of Wilson Avenue and 9400-block of Dawson Crescent, and three thefts from autos in the 7600-block of Scott Road, 7400-block of River Road, and 11400-block of 75th Avenue.
A business in the 8100-block of Scott Road also complained to police that a man had attempted to steal a block of cheese.
