SOUTH SURREY – A Surrey Mountie pulled a 92-year-old Surrey woman and her daughter over in South Surrey last Thursday afternoon and found a small amount of methamphetamine in their car.
Cpl. Bert Paquet wasn’t able to say what led the officer to stop their Chevrolet Cavalier, in the 15800-block of 24th Avenue. The aged woman, the passenger, was released right away but her 58-year-old daughter, a North Delta resident, was taken into custody. She has since been released, as police continue their investigation.
Paquet said “a small amount” of meth was seized.
“At this point in time no charges are laid,” he said late Tuesday morning.
