WHALLEY — Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a teenaged boy walking to school in Whalley this morning.
The 14-year-old victim, whose leg was broken, was hit by a light brown sedan, at 126th Street and 96th Avenue, shortly after 8 a.m.
Surrey RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet said the victim's younger brother called 911.
Paquet said investigators are looking at surveillance footage in the area. As for the victim, he said, it's believed "he'll eventually be fine."
Police are asking witnesses to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
