SURREY - The Surrey Eagles are welcoming a new goalie to the nest following a trade with the Brooks Bandits of the Albert Junior Hockey League.
The Eagles have acquired the CJHL playing rights to Devon Fordyce from the Brooks in exchange for the playing rights to defenceman Zane Schartz.
Fordyce started the season with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL, but played the majority of the season with the Brooks Bandits of the. He played in 13 games with Brooks and posted a 1.61 goals against average in 785 minutes of action.
Ranked No. 1 in Canada for most of the season, Brooks won the Royal Bank Cup in Summerside P.E.I. in May.
