CLOVERDALE – Police are calling on witnesses to a serious traffic crash in Cloverdale on Saturday to come forward.
A 46-year-old Surrey woman was airlifted to hospital, with serious head and lung injuries, just after noon Saturday after a white GMC Sierra pickup truck with Alberta plates T-boned the blue Plymouth Neon she was riding in, at 177B Street and Highway 10. Neither driver was injured.
Police said the injured passenger lived a short ways from the scene of the crash. At press time she was in critical but stable condition.
"We want to speak with any witnesses that may have observed what happened and have yet to speak with police, particularly with respect to the manner in which the white GMC Sierra with Alberta plates was being driven prior to the collision," Surrey RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet said.
"Alcohol is not being considered a factor in this accident," he added.
Police are asking witnesses to contact Const. Mike Halskov at 604-599-0502.
