Michael Booth is right - the key is education. In the many years I have lived in B.C. we have had great changes and some terrible ones with thoughtless leaders who either don't care or throw money at a problem in the hopes it will go away. It is easy to give money away - what is hard is to develop programs and be dedicated to help communities.

I am not native but have far-reaching Métis and Scandinavian roots and as my grandfather would say, "God helps those who can help themselves and to help others." He was always right about things like that and I have raised my children to be strong and educated so that they can survive in the world.
